Hello and welcome to my blog.   I have been living with Celiac Disease for years, and I will be sharing my favorite gluten-free/friendly products, resources, restaurants, and experiences that may make your day.  Celiac Disease is a chronic digestive and autoimmune disorder where gluten damages your small intestine.  Therefore, those who have Celiac Disease cannot eat gluten.  Gluten is a protein found in wheat, rye, barley, brewer's yeast, malt, triticale (hybrid of wheat and rye), and oats that are not pure.  It may also be in other products like vitamins and supplements, hair and skin products, toothpaste, and lip balm. Celiac Disease | MedlinePlus.  Always read the labels, even when you find your favorite gluten-free products.  Ingredients in products can change over time, so be mindful of that.  Thank you for visiting and please visit again soon to see my updates.  Enjoy! #glutenfree,#amazonaffiliate,#celiacdisease, #livingwithceliacdisease, #celiacmom

My Friend's Gluten-Free & Celiac Disease News

About Me:  I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease as a baby that was not thriving and finally started thriving on a gluten-free diet.  I was told I "grew out of it" throughout my childhood and all symptoms were attributed to different things.  For years I experienced struggles with illness, fatigue, and many other symptoms that I did not understand until finally I was properly diagnosed again in 2008 with Celiac Disease.   Gluten-free is my only way to live.  I became a registered RN and worked in oncology for over a decade.  I have three children and a wonderful husband who supports me in every way on this journey.  I hope that what I post here is helpful as that is my intention for doing this blog.  Please feel free to connect with me with any non-medical questions, suggestions, or just to say hello.  You are not alone.

(I am not a doctor.  The information on My Celiac Friend comes from my experience living with Celiac Disease and it is continually updated.  Please see a doctor if you need medical advice related to your Celiac Disease.   I have a BSN in nursing and worked in oncology for many years.)
